We had been to the public library to pick up an item, probably a DVD, that we had reserved. When we began to pull out of the parking lot, the radio began to make strange noises that sounded as though we were dragging something under the car. When I pushed the radio on-button, nothing happened. The radio was dead.
The next evening following dinner, we were watching a DVD movie. At 8:00, Dimitris suggested we pause the movie and enjoy a bowl of ice cream. I concurred wholeheartedly and pressed the pause button while he went for the ice cream. When he returned, I pushed the release button, and the movie continued…but without sound. The JVC audio amplifier had died. Both of these events occurred during one weekend.
The resolution: the amplifier in the car radio must be replaced or repaired. After many efforts to revive the sound on the audio system, I decided to purchase a new amplifier.
My brother has a wise saying: “Anything that can be remedied by spending money is worth spending money.” Believe me, between these two audio problems, I am going to spend money.
