Closed Beyond the Holidays

Every year on January 2nd, I breathe a sigh of relief after the press of the holidays–Christmas and New Years. That’s the attitude I was experiencing yesterday morning when I left the house mentally planning my day. I noticed as I went out the door that Dimitris had put several postal items to be picked up by the mail carrier in the afternoon. Whoops! There’s no mail delivery. When I walked into the house returning from the gym, I glanced at the piano where I spied two DVDs which are due back soon at the library. That wasn’t going to happen today. Not only was the library closed, but the drop-boxes were locked. It surely would be nice to check on the stock market, something I do almost every week day, but that certainly could not be done. Oh well, maybe tomorrow everything will be back to normal. Thank heavens the internet doesn’t take off for holidays. During the holidays, I miss my regular routine so I will look forward to January 3rd when the world starts again.
