Hitting the Gym

I believe in exercising, which is why I go to a gym three times a week to ride the bike for 40 minutes. On the days I don’t go to the gym, I walk for about twenty minutes. Both of these exercises make me feel good about myself. Unlike others who brag about how stimulated they are by exercise, I cannot claim that belief on my part. I exercise totally because I think it will assist in keeping me healthy. If you were to ask me, “Do you enjoy going to the gym?,” I would reply, “No.” In order to tolerate the 40-minute bike ride, I always take a paperback book with me. Since it is impractical to bring a book with me when I’m walking, I just walk and bear the boredom. I have never been a very athletic person, and my brother, who is 3 1/2 years younger than I, still does not exercise. He says he is amazed at my self-push to exercise. Hopefully, my carrying around fewer pounds than he is due to my exercising. If so, then it’s worth it.
