Wi-Fi Is Down

As do many of you, I too depend on Wi-Fi to operate a mobile unit. Dimitris, my partner, relies on that same Wi-Fi to operate his laptop. A few days ago, the Wi-Fi stopped working. I looked into the settings and confirmed that I did not have a connection. As Dimitris is in Greece and I use the iPod only sparingly, I did not deal with it until two days later when I called Bright House, asking for assistance. My D-Link router is plugged into the Bright House router so I figured they could help me, and they did. Since it was such a simple remedy, my readers must remember this process in case your Wi-Fi ever goes on the blink. First he had me unplug the D-Link router. Then I was told to power off the iPod. Next, he had me plug the router in again followed by once again powering up the iPod. When I checked the setting, there listed next to “Wi-Fi connection” was the beautiful word “D-Link.” It was back, and Zack, the Bright House tech, was my hero. Now, I hope I am yours.
