The White House Christmas Ornaments

Dimitris and I are honored to have a wonderful giving friend who lives and works in Washington, D.C., at the Department of Energy. In 2012, he gave us our first White House Christmas ornament which honored the U. S. Postal Service. That year, the White House Historical Association also put out a second ornament which we received from our friend. In 2013 the ornament was an oval with a picture of the White House inside. President Warren G. Harding and his love of trains was the theme of the 2014 ornament. Dimitris and I are so grateful that our friend has been so thoughtful by giving us these ornaments. This year’s ornament is a Christmas tree dedicated to President Calvin Coolidge and is the first ornament to have a lighting element. It has been the focus of attention on our Christmas tree and is pictured below. Merry Christmas to all of our friends and relatives, especially this special friend and his dog Queenie. Merry Christmas to all of our friends.

For her 16th birthday, I gave one of my granddaughters an Ole Miss ornament. I’ve kept them up every year since (her birthday is Dec 19). This year was ornament #12. She is the envy of all her friends. Merry Christmas to you both.
