John Lennon’s Birthday and My Son Boh Cooper

On December 5th, there was a program at Madison Square Gardens entitled “Imagine: John Lennon 75th Birthday Concert.” The exceptional, star-studded event was hosted by Kevin Bacon. According to the Rolling Stones, the one-night-only concert featured a spectacular line-up of amazing names in music like Sheryl Crow, Aloe Blacc, Eric Church, Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, John Fogerty, Aerosmith’s front guy Steven Tyler and lots of others. The reason I’m writing this blog about that concert is that my very talented son Boh Cooper was one of the keyboard players for this event. He wrote me about having the opportunity to shake hands with Yoko Ono. Since the New York concert, he has left on a trip to Australia where he is touring with Peter Cetera, former lead singer with the group “Chicago.” The John Lennon concert will be broadcast on the AMC channel at 9:00 pm (EST) on December 19th. Look for a handsome 52-year-old keyboard player.

Wow! Thom, I’m thrilled, impressed… almost speechless.
