Shoulders

When we have a friend who is dealing with negatives, we reach out to them, encourage them to face their problems with optimism. This latest incident in San Bernardino has led to the conclusion that this massacre was indeed a terrorist act and may have been inspired by ISIS. We Americans are naturally fearful and calling out to our government for reassurance. President Obama surely must have the weight of the world on his shoulders these days. He has worked so hard to keep America’s shores safe from an attack by our enemies. He has persevered to bring our service men and women home from foreign shores. Now is not the time to attack him with unfounded criticism, blame and challenges beyond his capability to handle. We should pray for this man who has kept our nation safe since the time of his election nearly eight years ago. He has been so careful not to say that we are battling Islam but extremists who have broken away from the teachings of the Koran. I bristle when I hear TV personalities, like Joe Scarborough, belittle the efforts of this President to keep us safe. Shame on you!
