Printers Are Cheap

For a long time, I had two printers: an HP Inkjet and an Epson Stylus. I purchased the Epson because the HP did not include a scanner. It was merely a printer, but oh what a terrific printer it was. Not only were photographs technically perfect, but the printer put out pages in the correct order so that you didn’t have to rearrange them after the printing was complete. However, the HP jammed at some point and ceased to work. I checked and was told by Staples that they did not repair printers as they were so inexpensive. The Epson, on the other hand, does a marvelous job of regular printing, but photographs are not acceptable at all. My mistake: buying too many refill ink cartridges. Now I desperately want a printer that does everything including making excellent copies of photographs. However, I still have many ink cartridges that will fit only this Epson printer. The printer people have us in a vise, charging low prices for the printers and exorbitant prices for the ink refills and insuring that no two refills work on any other printer. Wish me luck.
