Breakfast Out

I am a breakfast person. I seldom skip that meal. Of course, I seldom skip any meal, but breakfast is the meal I always enjoy. Surprisingly, I don’t get up and make the usual breakfast–eggs, toast, hash browns (or grits) and bacon. Instead, almost every morning at home, I eat a bowl of dry cereal with 2% milk–either Honey Nut Cheerios or Frosted Flakes. Having the traditional breakfast means going out for breakfast at a restaurant. Now those outings are very special and are usually done with either my partner or with friends. Those breakfasts are special not only because of the food but also the fellowship. I would say I generally eat breakfast out once every two weeks, and I look forward to those occasions dearly. How excited I am when my friends call and say, “Let’s meet at the Golden Bear” for breakfast at the usual time, 8:45. Breakfast out is a treat that I hope I never stop enjoying. By the way, my cholesterol count is just fine.
