A Lesson Learned

Readers, I have missed you. On May 31st, my computer hard drive died. I immediately headed to Best Buy where I purchased a new hard drive. Three days later, I had my “new” computer back. Over the past four years, I have bragged so much about how diligent I was about backing up most of the items on my computer that I classified as important–pictures, journals, blogs, financial records, addresses and phone numbers, etc. I did the backing up on both CD-RW’s and DVD-RW’s, depending on the size of the files. What I learned when I started re-entering data was that some of the discs I was using had become corrupted. If I learned one thing from this experience, it is to back-up files on an external hard drive. The sad thing is that I have an external drive that I have never used. Happy computing and happy backing up.
