Mamma Mia

North of Athens, Greece, thee is a magic island called Skopelos. The main town on the island is Skopelos Town. It is scenic in a way that only Greek islands can be scenic–deep blue seas with crystal clear waters, islands jutting out of the sea and the sky so blue that it is dazzling. No wonder the filmmakers chose this island as the setting for “Mamma Mia.” I had the privilege of spending four glorious days on this island with my friend, Dimitris. We swam at Kostani Beach, ate in the native restaurants and had breakfast on the porch facing the sea each morning. Thank you “Mamma Mia” for bringing the island to my attention. Thank you, Dimitris, for planning our trip there.
