Advice from a former “Ditto Head”

No, I do not listen to Rush Limbaugh. My “ditto head” title derives from another source. I am a “scan-o-holic.” I scan every print item that comes into my home–bills, checks that I write, all of the credit cards and business cards in my wallet, pictures, etc. A scanner, to me, is a miraculous electronic instrument. Remember, I am a retired school teacher. I taught during the age of dittos and stencils. I frequently taught with ink on my hands and clothes. To be able to make a color or black and white copy quickly and easily is nothing short of amazing to me. Next, you must be wondering whether or not I back-up my scans. Indeed I do on a regular basis. I back them up on a DVD-RW, erasing the previous list and replacing it with the updated one. If you don’t own a scanner, I hope you will rush right out and purchase one. Your whole outlook on life will change for the better.
