My Valentines

As I celebrate this Valentines Day, 2013, I find myself so grateful for six people who have made Valentines Day so special. My daughter-in-law, Jeri Detweiler Cooper, is the mother of my one and only grandson, Luke. Luke was the first grandchild in our family, and he is now six years old and setting the world on fire in school. My daughter, Robin Cooper Mizwa, is the mother of my first granddaughter, Gracey. Gracey is also six years old and is taking piano lessons. Finally there is my other daughter-in-law, Emma Alfano Cooper, who lives in Vilcabamba, Ecuador, with my second granddaughter, Carli Blue, who is almost five years old, is learning Spanish, and is being raised in the culture of South America. The mothers and the grandchildren are certainly the reason I feel so very blessed on this Valentines Day. Of course, the fathers–Boh, Todd, and Tom–also had something to do with bringing me to this appreciation.Thank you, Lord, for my sons, my daughters and my grandchildren. All are my sweethearts. My family will readily understand the Valentine symbol used below.
